The Distinguished Young Woman of Tennessee for 2023 is Maggie Haimelin, from Chattanooga.

Maggie’s achievements include: Top 10 Graduating Class - Notre Dame High School • Advanced Placement Scholar with Honors • Presidential Scholarship Recipient - University of Alabama • Honors College- University of Alabama • Captain of Competition Dance Team • Black Level Scholarship to Joffrey Ballet • Full Scholarship Recipient- Scenic City Dance • Artistic Excellence Award- Scenic City Dance • Outstanding Psychology, Mathematics, and Civics Student Awards • 1st Place Award at Regional Dance Competitions

Clifton Hills Elementary School: Academic tutoring for elementary students • Scenic City Dance: Teach dance to children ages 4-8 the fundamentals of dance • Clifton Hills Elementary School: Administered food drives for the community • Battle Academy: Provided necessary school supplies to enhance learning • Sleep in Heavenly Peace: Build beds from scratch to give to families in need
